Expressions Cardamom Chai Tea Eid Milk with rose syrup and almonds
Recipe developed exclusively for Expressions Chai Tea
This wonderful variation of the traditional Eid morning drink is sweet, flavourful and beautifully fragrant. If your family really enjoys this, drizzle with rose syrup and serve it chilled to break fast in the evening during Ramadaan.
Ingredients (6 X 200ml servings):
1L milk (4 cups)
12 heaped tsps Expressions Cardamom Tea (100ml)
60ml flaked almonds (4 TBSP)
30ml brown sugar (2 TBSP)
5ml cinnamon (1 tsp)
30ml rose syrup (2 TBSP)
125ml vermicelli (1/2 cup)
Method:
- Place all ingredients in a saucepan and stir well.
- Cook over medium heat until the vermicelli is soft.
- Serve warm or chilled as per your preference with some rose syrup drizzled on top and sprinkled with flaked almonds.
